Veterans Can Earn $40,000 Their 1st Year
Stevens Transport is sponsoring the total cost of CDL training and is proud to support our military men and woman as they transition to civilian life and corporate America. This partnership will deliver a defined and established CDL program to the transitioning soldiers at Fort Hood and result in direct employment with Stevens Transport. Veterans can earn approximately $40,000.00 their first year and up to $70,000.00 by their third year as a professional driver. With our Veteran Approved OJT Program, eligible veterans can earn up to an additional $10,302.00 tax free in addition to their regular pay over the first six months.
Classes are held on Fort Hood in the Central Texas College building 3200, room 108. The program consist of 160 hours of intensive classroom and hands on training.
Fort Hood is the first military installation where Stevens Transport will be physically domiciled on base. This program is the first of its kind that supports the Army’s Career Skills Program (CSP) and offers employment of transitioning soldiers, spouses and family members immediately following CDL training. Fort Hood was selected to be our first Army “home base” due to its proximity to our worldwide headquarters in Dallas Texas. We are proud to partner with Central Texas College and Fort Hood to bring superior training and employment opportunities to the men, women and families who have served our country.
Stevens Transport currently has five training locations across the U.S. that are strategically placed near various other military installations where we train and employ many veterans. Through our partnership with Central Texas College and TASI we have developed strategic plans to take this model to multiple other on-base installations in the near future.
Stevens Transport is working aggressively with the Army’s senior leadership to provide soldiers and their families’ opportunities to continue to build a great life and prosperous future.
Our mission is to hire and retain top quality employees, provide them with the finest tools and technologies available, and then challenge them to meet and exceed the highest standards of performance. Veterans bring a sense of mission and work ethic with specific military experience in transportation, logistics and supply chain management and excel quickly in our company.
